Almovi - A Family Business

Founded in 1985 by Charles Lindley and Guilherme Arriaga, Almovi operates in the lifting and handling sector in areas as diverse as industry and construction, airports and ports.

Throughout its 35-year history, Almovi has developed various activities such as the sale of equipment from leading brands in the sector, the supply of spare parts and specialized technical assistance, as well as other services that range from maintenance contracts to technical training courses, reconditioning work and painting of machinery, to periodic inspections and equipment certifications.

The year 2020 marked a milestone in the history of the family business: Guilherme Arriaga transferred his shares to his son, Manuel Arriaga, who assumed the general management, together with Patrick Lindley. In previous years, the current general manager of Almovi had already implemented improvements in the technical management of the business, being the main responsible for some growth areas such as quality improvement, internationalization of after-sales service and flexibility of buying and selling of second-hand equipment.

In addition to its quality insignia as a distributor of the benchmark brands in the sector and supplier to many of the country's main organizations, the generational change imprints a family character in Almovi, establishing close and trusting relationships with its customers.
